Kol Shimon – A Sanctuary for Parents of Struggling Teens
Healing begins with being seen, heard, and supported. Join a guided community of parents navigating their children's emotional and mental health challenges.
About Kol Shimon
Kol Shimon is a community-based initiative dedicated to supporting parents of teens who face emotional, social, or mental health struggles. Our focus is on a deeply misunderstood group: bright, sensitive, and often high-functioning teens who wrestle with inner pain that isn’t always visible on the surface. These are not children with cognitive or developmental disabilities—they are often intellectually capable and even gifted, like our namesake Shimon a”h, yet struggle silently with emotional distress, isolation, or hopelessness.
Whether your child is locked in their room, dealing with bullying, anxiety, depression, or has expressed thoughts of self-harm, you are not alone.
We provide structured, therapist-guided groups that bring together parents of children with similar challenges for mutual support, education, and healing.
How It Works

Small groups of 6-10 families (12-20 parents), matched based on their child's primary challenges (e.g., suicide attempts, social isolation).
Biweekly In-Person Meetings
Small groups of 6-10 families (12-20 parents), matched based on their child's primary challenges (e.g., suicide attempts, social isolation).
Weekly Zoom/WhatsApp Touchpoints:
Small groups of 6-10 families (12-20 parents), matched based on their child's primary challenges (e.g., suicide attempts, social isolation).
Two Therapists per Group
Each session includes two therapists from different modalities (rotating), plus one consistent group facilitator.
Structured & Heartfelt
Sessions include guided discussion, shared stories, education on healing tools, and identifying red flags.
